I have a Gen4 G41 MOS and bought a custom slide cover plate (Grim Reaper). As I was putting it on I noticed that the factory slide cover plate has a metal bar across it (side to side) which I’m assuming is to strengthen it. The new slide cover plate does not have the bar, its all plastic. I’m just a little worried that it will fail at some point and I’ll get punched in the face right below my eye by some part flying out the back when it does.
Until I hear otherwise I’ll use the factory part.
Better safe then sorry, right?
